Recipient Spotlight
Mason G.
Mason is getting ready to leave Kawameeh Middle School and head to Marvelwood Boarding School class of 2029 and he’s more than ready for this next big step. A naturally curious and driven student, Mason especially loves science and has big dreams of becoming an engineer.
What really makes Mason stand out is his personality, he’s funny, outgoing, and always surrounded by friends. He knows how to light up a room but also knows when to chill and take it easy.
“This scholarship means so much to me. It means that working hard really does pay off. And I can achieve anything I want once I put my mind to it.”
Amir W.
Amir attended St. Benedict's Prep for elementary, middle, and will continue on for high school- class of 2029! He swims, loves video games, and is a self-proclaimed foodie. He aspires to study law in the future.
Amir has been matched in Big Brothers Big Sisters since 2022 and he and his big love to explore sports and movies.
"I am so grateful to be awarded the Susan Ingal scholarship. I know this will really help my mom, and it makes me want to work even harder going into high school. Now that I know Susan Ingal's story, I'm inspired to be my best and give back the way she did. I know with the support of my family, BBBS, my Big, and now this foundation, I can achieve any goal I put my mind to."
Harry L.
Harry is a recent graduate of Harding Township School and will be attending Madison High School in the Fall, class of 2029. He is extremely curious and loves debating nearly everything. The family often spends hours in spirited conversations on topics that range from quantum entanglement to the history of Minecraft. While Harry is highly skilled in engaging with theoretical concepts, he also excels in applying his knowledge to practical projects. He has a small laboratory in the garage where he regularly smelts metals and builds prototypes for designs he's dreamed up. His book of detailed plans includes all sorts of machines and processes he's eager to bring to life.
“I’m really thankful to receive the Susan M. Ingal Award. It means a lot that my hard work is being noticed. I’ve always been very curious about how things work, especially in science, and this award encourages me to keep exploring and learning more. Even when school gets challenging, I try to stay focused and not give up—just like Ms. Ingal inspired her students to do.”
Tristin M.
Tristin is a Jersey City Global Charter School graduate. Currently attending the Hudson Catholic, class of 2028. Aspires to be an engineer or computer programmer.
“It is a great honor to have been selected as a Susan M. Ingal Foundation recipient. The impact and inspiration she has left on growing minds will forever immortalize her. Each one of us will carry her legacy for a brighter future.”
